Japan absolutely excludes a possibility, that the current meeting of the UN Security Council might impose the economic sanctions against Iran in connection with its nuclear program. The Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Kiyohiko Toyama, told this opinion to Tass in an interview Wednesday. He will represent Japan at a G-8 ministerial meeting on energy issues, taking place in Moscow today. ‘The Japanese government even does not consider an option of instant sanctions against Iran as some mass media say,’ declaimed Toyama. He added, that ‘Tokyo wants Iran to avoid international isolation and the nuclear problem to be solved by peaceful means.’
