Heavy snow mass slid off the roof of a school building and killed a student. It happens in northern Japan this Wednesday. The 23-year-old veterinary student was pressed by the snow mass Wednesday morning. He was going missing hours earlier in the city of Ebetsu on the northern island of Hokkaido. The police official have identified himself only by his family name - Yoshida. A special team of rescuers thoroughly searched around the building as they shoveled the massive pile of snow. But they haven’t found anybody else trapped. The accident comes while Japan struggles through one of its snowiest winters. An avalanche buried an outdoor hot spring at a popular traditional inn in the northern prefecture of Akita, on Friday. One person was killed and 16 were injuring.
